Oh Sleek:

I really wish I'd found Sleek sooner. It has honestly become my favourite drugstore brand, and has me wondering 'Oh no, what did I miss?!'

One of the items I missed and subsequently pined for was the limited edition Raspberry Souffle Pout Polish, but thanks to eBay I now have my hands on it and can safely say I am in Love.

I love the packaging of the limited edition Pout Polishes so much more than the regular ones. There is nothing wrong with the current packaging by any means, but I love how you can see through the 'lips' at the colour inside - so cute! £3.99 / 10g.

I definately was not expecting to open the tub, swipe my finger across and get something this pigmented. I am not complaining, it was a very pleasant surprise, but when lip conditioners from MAC etc at over 3x the price havn't delivered results like this, it just took me by surprise. Some of the other Polishes in the range are much sheerer however, which is a bit of a shame as the way I look at it, is pigment can be toned down easily, but not so much the other way around.

Here it is on bare, unlined lips:
Wow. This is just my type of colour and I am in love. Probably going to track down another for a friend too.
Colour aside, it is non sticky and very comfortable to wear. It doesn't have that waxy texture some lip conditioners do yet the longevity isn't compromised because of it. It is also lovely and moisturising probably due to the Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Avocado Oil listed on the ingredients - albeit at the end of the list.
Scent wise, I don't love it, but it's not unpleasant either despite a somewhat playdoughy base. Once applied it's undetectable, though.

What I love most about the shade though, is how it can be sheered down on top of a nude lipsticks (Elf Natural Nymph in my case), like so:
The lighting changed a little so I had to dampen the flash, but the shade is true to life. It adds a subtle pink tint and a gorgeous glossy finish. Love how it makes my lips look plumper too, though I will thank my sloppy application for 50% of that ;)

And because I featured this palette in my September favourites and promised a mini review, here is the Sunset iDivine. This one is permanent and I suggest you get it next time you are in Superdrug. It's not often that many of us will reach for a bright orange or yellow, but when we do this palette is perfect. Cheap, highly pigmented and extremely blendable. I used this for my entry below and cannot fault it.

Swatches:

Does anyone have swatches of the Sleek 'Glo' shimmer strip type things? Thankyou!

  1. I love Sleek, I have all of their palettes and 2 of their Pout Polishes, and I am 100% satisfied with them.

Things I didn't like: eye drama mascara and skin revive foundation!
    Ever tried them?

  8. their eyeshadow palettes don't really do anything for me. Probably because I feel I would never wear any of those colors lol. BUT their blushes look fantastic!

  9. Mmhm so do I. my skin has special needs ;)

Graphite is sold out everywhere, as it was LE.
I'm thinking of selling mine (used once) because I hardly ever wear blacks or greys.
Although I love the palettes too much.

But look out for the new Bad Girl one, coming out soon. It's almost like graphite, but better :)
